@4972
“Bite your tongue and just be greatful that Sony is offering you free games in the first place”
Hey, Uncle Bob, thanks for taking me shopping at All Things Extra Small. I’m 6’3″ and weigh 210 pounds, so you probably won’t have to buy me anything, and you knew that when you asked me to go shopping with you, but how can I possibly do anything but THANK YOU! You’re the best!
The other offers, the Home stuff and the movie rentals, are kinda nice but I am betting the movies will blow and I do not like that they are controlling the window for the movies. It’s like they are going to MAKE me login and use the service.
I am glad they are attempting to make amends, but I think they are falling a bit short.
I am not sure if this would seem like less of an insult to me if I wasn’t a + user since standard PSN service is free *shrug*, I mean, can we really complain about not being able to use something that is free? I do agree that anyone who has a pay-for-play service should be compensated for not being able to access their games though and there should also be some sort of compensation involved for Hulu and Netfix users. I have an Xbox too so I was still able to access those services, but I know that many for many they had no other access for the services.
Thank you sony, it is very much appreciated.
I was wondering if there was going to be any compensation for those of us that pay for netflix or hulu? I mean, I only use netflix on my ps3 so I payed for a month in which i couldnt watch any thing. I know 8 dollars isnt a lot but I still payed for it.
Btw, everyone thats conplaining… If your not paying for playstation plus, or hulu, or netflix or anything of the like, and are just using basic psn features, I dont see why you should complain. I mean you get this service for free, techincally they dont even need to compensate you, so the fact that they are (no matter how crappy) should be pleasing at the least.
lol, love your comment MuthaFunkster, how very true of an analogy
I appreciate the nice gesture SONY, but what about us hardcore gamers who already own these games? Is it wrong that i feel slighty unappreciated?
thanks for the hard work. But next time have a backup plan just in case it happens again ps can you give free ecalation maps :)
Poptart, I am thankful for the kind gesture from sony and from the distant relative and I am not trying to throw it in their face..it’s just a little eh for me. When I try to do kind things for people I try to make sure it will please them or if for example I was bringing in gifts to the office for xmas I’d try to find something that made everyone happy or smile like my example of a credit (or gift cards for people in the office)
why should you be compensated for your netflix or hulu services when you can access both from a computer and im sure you have one and two you get movies mailed to by netflix? that is completly redundant
we need a ‘like’ button.
Awesome…. i get ps3 games and psp games. but the upcoming black ops map pack would be awesome….. wink wink lmao. thanks for keeping us updated and getting back up and running.
hey people add redhot71 for some black ops and other games………HURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“Hey, Uncle Bob, thanks for taking me shopping at All Things Extra Small. I’m 6’3″ and weigh 210 pounds, so you probably won’t have to buy me anything, and you knew that when you asked me to go shopping with you, but how can I possibly do anything but THANK YOU! You’re the best!” +1
Eh. While its a nice gesture that’s going to cost Sony ~$104 per user (not including the movie rentals and free home items) its not THAT good of a make up.
They’re shelling out to us OLD games. If anything, they should have allowed us to select ONE game from a list of 5 newer releases and ONE game from a list of 5 older releases. Not two games from a list of 5 old out of date games.
While I’d be a fool not to download them for free, I’m not really happy with the offer personally.
when will people stop begging for stupid COD map packs your not getting them unless you dole out the $15 to get them your selves simple as that
This is a joke now, i’ve bought so many online games, and I want to play on my ORIGINAL account, but i’ve been waiting 4 DAYS for my password change, and still NOTHING.
I work for ISP, believe it or not not everyone who owns a game system has a computer… it baffles me as well…
Yeah we sure do..
Dead Nation isnt worth it i think lol it sucks
hmm society i believe one of those games came out november of last year so that is hardly out of date lol
interesting,
honestly it was very inconvenient to have the network down for so long, but hopefully all bugs have been fixed and our compensations will go well
i look forward to what Sony has to offer
well Veranieca you still get netflix movies mailed to your house so whats the big deal?
I really don’t get what is so hard to understand about this situation.
“Sony should have given us access to NEW games”. Why? So they offer us a $60 (or $20) game that still has the potential to earn money? They aren’t going to void possible profits. Read up on business competence once, then complain about how “stupid” the choices were that Sony made.
Is he talking about the first person shooter Dead Nation or the shoot em’ up Dead Nation because there is two different games with that name.
GOOD GOING SONY NOW WE SHOULD GET THE MAP PACK FOR BLACK OPS FOR FREE
Saber02 and mrcinsc: Thank you for your support. ;-)
@Death8u4u its just a lot of ppl are ungrateful unappreciative selfish demanding whiny
@Bigbullikai
There not getting your lil black ops tea party map go buy it on your own when the ps store is up they’ve already discussed on what they should be giving
@5012
Personally I don’t do the DVD/Blue-ray thing with them, I am all about immediate gratification. :) I can’t speak for others. And as I mentioned, I personally didn’t loose access to those services as I had other means to access them during the outage. I am just thinking of someone else other than myself. ;)
yea 4951 how true, it tells me i spent too much money, lesson learned. :/ i got those games anyways. i don’t think i will be spending much money on PSN after that. i was glad to have the network back til i saw the welcome back package. that does hurt. ouch.. and how the bank treats you can also depends on what you have in there.
YES inFAMOUS!!!
BIGBULLKAI , or you could get a job and buy it yourself….Sony isn’t going to offer 5 million users compensation and ignore the other 45 million or so.
BIGBULLKAI wont happen now get over it buy your self when the PS store comes available
if you already have a ps3 that plays blu ray and dvds so ummm why not utilize it
Stop asking for free black ops pack its annoying lol
Nice! Although i beat inFamous and traded it in, I miss it!! So that’s cool with me. Stop complaining ppl, if it’s free…take it!!
Cloud_of_Anubis those are probably the middle school or high school kids that live their life on COD once school ends
@ MuthaFunkster
Uncle Bob sez:
“I could have taken you to Big Harry’s House o’ Hefty, but then you would have just complained that you already bought all the big stuff.”
… Can’t win with you guys …
is anybody having trouble installing game updates?
Thanks sony!,, black ops sucks btw
@5027 true lol why they don’t buy the map pack themselves
there are far better games than COD but ppl give into their mainstream and play that cause thats what everyone is playing.. hell socom is far better than COD
We should really get the Black Ops map pack for free… it will be awesome wink wink wink!!!!!!
I will be eating WipeOut HD+Fury for breakfast and inFAMOUS for dinner during the Summer!!!!
Sony: feeding my gaming hunger since 1998
THANK YOU SONY for the choices!!!!!!!
@Niz_Corvan
I didn’t say I don’t use it, I said I don’t subscribe to Netflix for them. I don’t rent anything, I either buy it or skip it, I don’t even use Redbox. It’s just a preference. Anyway, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, that part wasn’t even about me. I had other access to those services.
@Cloud_of_Anubis cause mommy or daddy wont buy it for them….
Ps3 is way better than xbox even after what happen the past couple weeks.. just sayin :)
u shuld let us get 1 free DLC 4 free
Sony is so better than Microsoft. They deal with hackers. Rock on,Sony!!!!!!!!
@Niz_Corvan lol true
