This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

I think it’s a lame selection of old games. To all the people that keep saying “it’s a free network, so basically deal with it”, It has always been a selling point for the PS3 a lot of people bought it because of that (and other features that they NO LONGER ALLOW). To have the servers down for as long as it was, with so many games dependent on online use, there is no doubt the PS3 owners are owed. A handful of old games (ALSO doubled as a marketing ploy for the squeals about to be released) and PS+ , falls a little short. I agree with the others that a PS Store credit would have been the real way to go, not trying to find another cheap way out, Sony address the issue at hand…you’ve gotten burned already for no doing so and cutting corners.

So let me get this straight….if somebody hacks my home PC and i’m unable to use it for a period of time- I should be entitled to free stuff from either the store where I purchased it or from the company who made the PC themselves right?

wow i really have all of these games this is some bullsht and to top it off infamous when ifamous two is right around the corner like anyone cares about that and LBP which is obsolete because of LBP 2 an then superstar dust and wipeout some of the most sold psn games which means youll lose less money because almost everyone has them >.> thats really slimy sony WTF why not just one good game or an uncharted 3 beta i feel riped off right now the only thing im getting from this is 1 month of PS plus but i bet there wont be anything good for ps plus this month….Thanks alot

The point is, if you have all the games being offered, you’re on the hook. Sony doesn’t have to try as hard to keep you. Every additional game you buy is gravy.
If you’re new to PSN and don’t have lots of games, you’re not as invested in PSN, and YOU are the one they must convince to stay. They haven’t seen enough of YOUR money.
The first year of PS3 is the meat and potatoes: PS3=$$$, Controllers=$$, Move=$$, first 10 games=$$$… but then it drops off and you don’t pay off as much.
There’s a bank commercial that asks: Why do some banks think it’s ok to treat new customers better than old customers? Well, have you figured it out, yet?

I was only using that as an example because everyone here (or the majority) is thanking Sony for these freebies when I am positive many own the games and others aren’t or maybe are not interested in the selected titles. They hear, see or read something and are assuming it’s this great thing when in fact it’s not. Along with the titles the + membership is a joke only to lure potential new customers in signing up. i like the package works out for me my 5yr old wanted big planet to play with his cousin so sony saved me 20 bucks:)
Furthermore I am not saying we are owed a single thing. My point is if you are offering a welcome back package it should be a credit for something we would want and have use for. If someone gave me twenty bucks on the street out of nowhere but said you can only purchase what I tell you to buy, I’d tell them thanks but no thanks… A gift isn’t something you should be forced to enjoy? Ever get one of those crappy shirts from a distant relative at x-mas?

k, thats what sony did give us, absolutely nothing, those that actually spend a ton of money on their products, and i do have all but 1 title in the freebie pack as well as close 200 or more games on disc. we feel let down at not getting anything free, 30 actual days of ps+ free? big whoop, they haven’t had anything worth getting in quite awhile, and yes i am a plus account holder.

Well thats great and all, but i have 2 out of those PS3 games, and I don’t like the other. Pretty useless. So much for a “warm welcome,” but i guess its good for those who enjoy these games. Thanks for putting up psn anyway.
Trying to log into online play and when i enter my email address and password, i get a message that reads ” You cannot sign-in using another user’s sign-in ID(e-mail address”. How can i rectify this situation? Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

to be extremely honest here i seriously hate the selection of games they’re giving us we should at least of one selection of the game we want nof our choice or like i keptv reading some 10.00 credit or someth. iI’ll never even play any of those games on the list or like i also read some people have them already. Everyone has a different taste in games and not everyone is going to like what the other person likes (and I might have contradicted myself just now not sure) but the list to me seems to be a joke here I know sony can make up a better list than that but then again they may have no control of the list but to me i just don’t like the list of game we can choose from is all.

Eh. While its a nice gesture that’s going to cost Sony ~$104 per user (not including the movie rentals and free home items) its not THAT good of a make up.
They’re shelling out to us OLD games. If anything, they should have allowed us to select ONE game from a list of 5 newer releases and ONE game from a list of 5 older releases. Not two games from a list of 5 old out of date games.
While I’d be a fool not to download them for free, I’m not really happy with the offer personally.

Nice of them to try and compensate us like this. Personally none of the free games really apeal to me or my personallity but its still a nice thought. im just anoyed stores not back up yet. fallout new vegas dlc came out today :( I hope they hang the hacker by his teeth if they find him!

this offerblows, I am not a hardcore customer, but I happen to have all the games except for dead nation that I was not interested in… what about Sony making a bigger effort and actually offering more of their games, like MAG or Uncharted 1 or 2, or one the GoW HD or motorostorm 1 or 2, nothing recent, but at least it would give more choice to their bigger consumers
I can see the both sides.
I already have PS+ and I think it’s a great service if you download a lot of games, which I do not. Unless they plan on making some radical change to the + service I really could care less about the 60 extension.
I already own InFamous and Little Big Planet. We have three PS3s and a PSP. (The PSP selection blows in my opinion.) I am seriously not interested in the other games. I’d rather just have the points so I can use them buy music for my games… LOL
why dont people just accept that is the their offering if you dont like dont utilize it and dont complain just get over it and play your games online
