We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.
Yeah it was a bit of a chore lastnight but I understood working in IT and all. Good to have the network back up.

@2323 Probably because of the cookie that keeps them logged in.
I’ve been playing online just fine and have already reset my password via my playstation as soon as it was back online, but my friend who lives in the same city is having problems. He’s already downloaded the update but when he goes to sign in it just says error and he has yet to recieve his email either. He called customer support and they told him it could take up to 24 hours but it’s already been more than that.

they were able to comment while it was down because they were already logged in before PSN went down so therefore it kept everyone who was logged on at the time on till it expired. Cause i wanted to tell the 5yr old cry babies to go suck on mommy’s nips and shut up
when’s the store going to be up? i bought a new ps3 while psn was down and i have nothing to do now! i can’t even access my bad company 2 or medal of honor maps. /sad

anyone having problems connecting to your friends game on black ops via game invite???
I would appreciate a smooth transition to my friends game when i accept request, but instead, I get put back to main menu every time. it is not our internet connection that is the problem. HELP ME PLEASE!!!

SONY, I really appreciate the work you did to get our online gaming back up again, but, that was the least you could do to save your business, so I don’t really know why we are all thanking you for that. I also wanted to tell you that I personally hate you with everything i’ve got in me for the past 3 and 1/2 weeks that i’ve spent playing computer because of your outdated security measures and stupidly encrypted account information. On the other hand, we have the “Welcome Back!” reward program, which sucks badly btw, because it is just stupid to play the PS plus “free games” because they will expire and disappear after your “free PS plus membership month”. So basically, all I wanted to tell sony is, YOU GUYS SUCK BADLY AND I’M STILL THINKING I HATE YOU. Thank you

Psn is up in Melbourne Australia, but my friend can’t sign in, he says it’s saying something like ” A server error has Occurred ” when ever he trys to make his new password, does anyone know what that’s about?
I never had to reset my password with an email, I did it through my PS3. I actually never received an email of any sort. But anyway, thanks for trying so hard for us, Sony.
You guys don’t even have to wait for your e-mail to change your password. Do it from your PS3.

I read elsewhere that “later on in May” you’re thinking of turning the PS Store on. How much later can we expect it, because I have my MK online pass to redeem, L.A. Noire comes out tonight at midnight and I’m sure there’s a Rockstar Games thing I’ll have to do online…in addition, I swear, it’s a tease to offer a Welcome Back plan and then not have the store up.

Some info. about enrolling into the credit monitoring service would be appreciated. By official email preferably, not a blog post.
You can only change it from your PS3 if your account was activated on that PS3. It doesn’t have to be the first PS3 you ever owned, but it has to be one that you have activated your PSN account on and used before. If you can’t do this, you must change it through email. Otherwise, I’d recommend calling Sony’s help line and I’m sure one of the reps can help you.
My Network works fine for abot 20 min and then disconnects giving an ‘8002AD23’ error. I have to restart everytime. I never had this problem before PSN went down. Anybody else having a similar issue?
PSN will probably be buggy for a week as everything settles. I’m sad that Japan is still down and will be until the government let then turn it on…
Quick question for anyone who’s playing Mortal Kombat online: Has anyone noticed that it takes FOREVER to get matched up with an opponent and if/when you finally do, the lag is almost unbearable? Is anyone else experiencing this? I don’t know if it has to do with Sony’s Rollout or if this is just how MK is going to be…

It just depends on were u live if u are having trouble playing online.. If u live in a city or a populated area with many psn users than u r more likely to get booted out of network instead of living in a small town.. (also if u have black ops add ht_4040 )
Hello guys, i have followed this process from the start as i also wanna play badly ;) but i have some questions for ps3 or just for you guys that i really need somee answers on, first i wanna ask, how can it be that i can log on to psn but still i cant go online for my fifa ? its say the online code need again or what you call it, but when i try to use my old one or just tryin to get a new one theres a error,, :(? and second question, how can it be that fifa ultimate team is not even in the game menu yet ?
