We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

Furthermore, I’m happy that the network is finally back up, but I won’t be satisfied until the Store is back up as well.

What make sony better than xbox. the wii capitalized on sales and the graphics are in a lower category than 360 and ps3. I should get wii. its be years since ive played mario world.
well grant it on the Wii you can download old school NES games which is a plus but then again why spend the $150 when one could play the same games on an emulator for free

i found a ps2 data download on psn’s japanese website, it wont let you play ps2 games. i was hoping that it would because i have a 40gb version and i can play ps1 games so, i figured it would work. does anyone know a way around this. Sony is really changing the game.

Honestly when are we going to get the email for our credit monitoring service. I can understand that it took 2 days to figure out what kind of information was taken but when you knew that info was taken then its time to get people enrolled in the monitoring service.
rogue..the 40gb ps3 wont play ps2 games i think the only ones that will are the 1st 20gb and i think the older 60gb ones

Can someone tell me if they are having the same problem as me? I downloaded the new update and went through the process to reset my password, psn said they were sending me instructions by email. I have been waiting about 20 hrs and have not received and email back yet to reset my password. I was wondering if anyone else was having this happen to them? I think it is pretty stupid that people from the australia, iraq, candada, and the UK can all sign in but i cant and im in oregon in the US. If someone could tell me if they have experienced this problem, i would very much appreciate anything anyone can tell me.

goawayhackers if you actually read their previous blog it will tell you that they had an enormous amount of ppl trying to reset it at the same time and they had to flush their queue

yeah I did read the email, but they said that would only take 30 min. Im not really familiar with the terms they use for conditioning their server. I just know everyone i talk to has received their email in less than 10 minutes to reset their passwords. So I was just wondering if other people were having the same problems as me.

the ps3 needs to have an update to view NTFS file systems and not just FAT32
why is sony having so many problems with hackers anyway. some have attacked psn just to crash and others to steal information?
tim they did pay attention to a lot of the posts they had a few blog posts that were answering some of their questions

who knows exactly rogue…i did see a post somewhere that anonymous said they would attack the sony again once the PSN is back up but they werent going to mess with the PSN but who knows if there is any truth to that
from what I’ve been reading not many people seem to care that some low lives tried to steal info from Sony. this may seem like a small thing to a lot of the people but this doesn’t fly with me so i hope Sony has used the best of the Best to protect my information.

If you have changed your password when the network went up, your system may have retained your old password in the box at the login screen. SO, go up to that line, reenter the new password, and you should get in just fine.

its funny how a small group of super nerds can mess it up for the rest of us.
I blame all the Call of Dumba55 losers. They’re ruining the FPS genre, so why not swamp the servers in hopes of getting their precious K/D ratios up? While I’m trying to play actual good games like RDR and MK, the PSN starts to lag like crazy because of it.
i was reading a report somewhere that was saying who ever the hackers were rented a server from amazon with false info and used it to hack sony
