We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

If you have changed your password when the network went up, you system may have retained your old password under your email address when you log in. SO, go up to that line, edit in the new password, and you should get in just fine.

congratulations sony, you made your once unreliable servers even more crappy. i cant even get through a full match of battlefield bc2 without getting signed out of psn; 3 weeks of waiting and i see all you did was build a new security firewall or whatever, you could of beefed up your servers while you were at it. this is very frustrating i guess asking for better servers is out of the question?? of course it is its sony!! well ill turn my ps3 off and wait till everyone gets over the reopening of psn so that i can get through a full match without getting signed out. this blows thanks sony your the best (NOT!)

At first I thought it was only me. I was playing MW2 and then the sever didnt work. Then I restarted my PS3 and then I went to my user and it said the server is undergoing maitence. I told my friend that my online didnt work and then he laughed at me :(. Then after a while it came back. Then I started to pwn noons on Black Ops. I think that we sould get a quad XP for waiting or is the 1 month of PS Plus and Qirocity enough. Also, when will the PS store be back. I want to spend alot of money on lots of downloads.
The real question is why do so many people have an account on their PS3 that is unactivated and requires E-mail confirmation? Come on guys you wouldn’t run into this problem if you bought something from the PS store or if you manually activated your account to your PS3 after you signed up.
Even Sony assumed that there would be a less amount of people that would need to use E-mail. If you are getting the E-mail prompt then you have never activated your account on that PS3, doesn’t matter if the account was made on that PS3 only if it is activated.

This is really really annoying. Each time I try to sign on it says “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of Playstation Network. (80710092)”
I was able to download the new update easily, and now I get this. And since I’m not seeing any comments regarding this it’s a bit worrisome. Is anyone else getting this?

I just think it would be great if when the store is open we get the escalation map pack for free! I would be happy with just that. And to the people who say that “sony dont owe us anything”. I have 360 and ps3.spent 300 for my ps3 and payed 200 for the 360 and i bought 2 years of xbl which takes it to 300 plus a tad more. So we ARE paying for psn in a sense by paying 300 for a system that basically does the same thing as 360.

This is why I did mine early. I was up late but this was one of the last states to come back on. So when it came up it was 2am. I changed my password no problem. Now everyone was awake and overloading the servers.

The signal seems to havee gotten worse.but people should not be getting belligerent over these small things..there’s so much to do besides live in front of the screen all day but can we get an update on the PS store? I have money to spend and I’ve been saving it ever since the network has been down
