We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

I was able to change my password but still cant get on…my brother in law who’s in the same house downstairs from me has been on all day……I guess he picked the lucky straw……I on the other hand have no problem patiently waiting!!!!! But hurry up please!!! lol

crazy: well maybe or it can depends on your internet service provider… if they are busted because of all the upload and dwnload right now… and call sony to have a check with them

@crazychipmunk, you should have only reset your password. It was not required to make a new account. Also the ps3 you are using has to be the same ps3 you created/started the account on, if you dont have the original console you must change your password via email

Well in my case i didn’t sell my ps3, i just bought a xbox and the new one is well done but i like my ps3 more than that and would never have sold it.

crazy_chipmunk: did you try to reset your password directly from an e-mail or maybe directly from here… you change your password and maybe everything should be ok

Glad to see the service is working here on the east coast. Thanks for all the updates during the downtime and thank you for all your efforts to bring this great service back online. I bought a PSN card the day the service went down, so I can’t wait to check out the PS store when it goes back online. I’m looking forward to checking out the Plus service too.
For all the PSN users out there I’d expect more problems as they bring more features online, so try to be patient. I don’t play games online but I’m glad Sony is working on that first for you guys that can play online. I’ll be waiting patiently to redeem this PSN card and spend some money on DLC.

Yea chobee, that would be legit i would be 15th prestige already if it wouldnt have wwent down, i presitge at a maximum of 2 1/5 days. But i think it is treyarch that does the double xp not psn.

im finally playing! but something still concerns me. does anybody know when the PSN Store will be back up? because it wont let me redeem codes unless PSN Store is up running. i have a Resistance 3 beta code & Dead Space 2 Online Pass just sitting here. and my cousin said these kind of codes can expire. :( ***i had them for two weeks/ April 30th***
when I got my ps3 last week I was po that psn was shutdown now I’m happy to play online for the first time n having no problems now with signing in
if you made another acount they you will have to deactivate your system then restore it then click on psn use exsiting acount and sign in like that sony wont let you sign out then sign in another acount.
