We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.

Damn it , PSN back since more than 1 hour but still can’t play online game like black ops. i was able to play this morning , not this afternoon and tonight i was able to until the maintenance message like 2 hour ago!!!

Trust me they are working as fast as they can to get the store up… Having that down hits their wallets HARD plus 3rd party companies are losing money which will cause friction between them and Sony. The PlayStation Store is where Sony makes their money so I bet there are working harder on that trying to get it up and running.

Hi, i’m from Gatineau, Quebec, Canada (near ottawa) and it’s working i’ve just played some games of black ops and everything is running really fast and no problem for changing my password, just told me to change it, i enter it 2 times, waited 1 minutes and try to sign in again… everything worked well.

Come on now, guys. Be thankful you’ve gotten to get on PSN for a while. Sony is just making it so this kind of hack doesn’t happen again. To be honest, it was great this happened, besides the leak of personal information, because this could have happened by some other insane guy and it could have been worse.
