We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

I haven’t had a problem with PSN since it came back online for me, which was like 7:30 PM yesterday.

so, did they expect there NOT to be a huge mass of password changes when they specifically told us we’d all have to change our passwords?

The Playstation Network is back up for me hopefully the Playstation Store will be back up tomorrow or later during the week so we can get our hands on Playstation Plus for a free month. I am glad Sony, you are keeping us updated on your blog like your supposed too and now with the new security we got, I am sure we won’t get hacked again. PS3 it only does EVERYTHING.

umm.. sony i got a message on the day PSN got hacked and its says “you greedy a**hole” his PSN name is armyboy2231 and then i was playing black ops like 20 mins ago and it said that somebody else had logged into the same PSN name as mine and i went to go change my password and the logged out. how do i know if that person that logged in is still in my acoount??

Something very weird just happened to me. I have changed my pw and all. But like 5 mins ago it signed me out and said someone else logged into my account? No one has my accound info and it let me log right back in and has been fine since. Any one else experienced this?

Sony, thanks for getting PSN back up ‘n everything with better security. You have really gotta get the Store up soon though. All these damn games that force you to input an Online Pass can’t be played online because you need the Store to input the Pass Key.
So, my Mortal Kombat Online Trial will run out sometime tomorrow, and I won’t be able to play online anymore until the Store comes back up it seems. This sucks, that’s why publishers shouldn’t do that stupid Online Pass crap, stupid EA started that garbage. So what if someone buys a *used version of the game, that means someone already bought it *new and you made your money. Don’t incorporate some stupid crap just to make more profit and rip people off, worst yet, punishing the people that paid the full price of the game.
It’s like Capcom with the damn DRM protection to stop people from sharing games on PSN. PSN allows sharing, either deal with it, or don’t make that game on the PS3 if you don’t like it. Instead, Capcom adds DRM to Final Fight and Bionic Commando Rearmed and no one could play it for the 3 1/2 weeks that PSN was down. So, yet again, punishing the people that paid for the game in full, by trying to be greedy. Dumbasses, I swear.

People need to chill out. This was expected after 3 – 3 1/2 weeks of being down. This is not Sony’s fault, this is not some hackers fault. It lies with the users that swamped the system trying to change their password. Yes I’m happy psn is back just like the next user but come on we crashed the system lol. So why be mad at Sony for them taking down psn to clear out the queue?
Again just chill out folks and soon enough stuff will be back to normal.
As for those who keep asking for “free stuff” for it being down. Sony was nice enough to offer us a welcome back package and to be honest we get psn for free. So in reality they didn’t have to offer us this package but they decided that they wanted to give us (their loyal fans) something in return for having patience with them through this time of crisis.
I, like the rest would love the playstation store to be back up as i have alot to redownload (put a new hd in my ps3 lol) but I can wait a bit longer as i have multiple games I can play offline plus my psp as well.
