We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

I know you guys are working very hard to restore service, and I really appreciate it. I know there are a couple of Xbox users in-disguise as Sony users and a couple of spoiled brats posting immature/trolling comments… please ignore them.
There are still many users who appreciate all the work you guys have done and will continue to stay behind the Playstation brand.
I look forward to trying out Playstation Plus and gaming on PSN.
PS: To all the haters, yeah you can go ahead and trade in your PS3, but you’ll only miss out on MEGA exclusives and a console that gives out MANY FREE stuff.

I think these are just intermittent issues at the moments. I wasn’t able to log in when I got home tonight, and a few minutes later I was able to log back in. Been online for a solid 20 minutes now.
Try restarting your systems, reentering your passwords and log in.
hello. so i couldn’t get in to my account so i decided to try and mae a new account and see if it would let me in. well… it did, this is the account i made just to see if it would work. its frustrating playing black ops online and not being able to use my account. but i will wait. again… oh and thanks sony!!!! times are rough but we wont cower down and buy a xbox
I have to agree with mastdog in post 935. How did Sony not see this coming? This is completely unacceptable. There is no valid excuse for the servers being overloaded when you should have know there was going to be heavy traffic with all the excitement. First you take away features I paid for, then you let my information be compromised, and now this. This will be my last Sony product ever, until they quit treating their paying customers like common criminals.
