We’re currently experiencing an extremely heavy load of password resets, and so we recently had to turn off services for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue.
As such, a large number of people are attempting to change their passwords at the same time, it’s taking longer than expected for all those emails to clear all of the ISPs.
If you’ve requested your password reset, please give it a bit of time to reach your email. Thanks for your patience as we work to get everyone back online.

I haven’t tried logging on on my ps3 (currently upgrading the hard drive) but I was able to log on on my computer. To whoever was asking about state, mine is Alabama.
To everyone who is upset I’m sorry. To everyone who is upset and bashing sony….again, I understand but it really makes since for them to shut it down. If they had cut the whole thing on all at once last night “like some people wanted” well we would be with out the psn for another month…hopefully. So if it isn’t up watch tv, read a book, play some more single player, or just get over it.

Ok, So it went like this for me last night. They said the network came up in my state(Oregon), I try to sign in it says pw, not vaild anymore. Press OK it says an e-mail got sent, so after 20 minutes of no e-mail I pressed the button a couple more times. Then I got locked out and received error messages. So i just created a new account. Going to get on BO and wreck some clowns with the mp5k.
AS ONE SAID BEFORE IF YOU TURNED YOUR SYSTEM OFF THEN YOU CAN’T PLAY BUT IF YOU WERE STILL LOGGED ON THEN YOUR IN LUCK
So should we expect another 24 days of non service because I see other persons online playing blackops but for some locality reason I can’t get connected to the blackops server. C’mon! There were persons posting messages when the servers were down last week, how did they maintain connection. (possibly people within your company that could bypass the firewalls maybe) For whatever reason all the servers for all the other consoles are 100%, while low and behold playstation B. Ops servers are at defcon 2. Get your act together. But overall, thank you for the limited gametime I have had so far today!

I’m getting a gaming PC… no more ps3 or any sony products ever again. Everyone needs to stop defending Sony like it is a person who gives a damn about you!!! It’s a corporation, they have continuously lied about time lines and info to keep us in the dark and hope we wont jump ship, well… Man over board!!!! Oh and the free ps+.. really? you think that cost them a single penny? It’s just a promo to try & get you hooked and get you to sign up for it ijn the end of trial period. Look around, lots and lots of company offer free trials, you dont go kissing their butts for it right? nope, its just a promo/ advertisement.
