  • Woo, new God of War!

  • Still waiting for the announcement of comics on the PS3. Please?!?!

  • God of War #5!!!!! yes!!!!!

  • Are these for PSP?

    Last i checked, PS3 doesn’t have comics, but i got it for Xmas so i wouldn’t know…

  • Yes these are only for the PSP.

  • still not buying till you make a PS3 app. Why the hell isn’t there one? Are Sony and Marvel afraid of money that much? We have a Hulu, Netflix, NHL, and MLB app, you’re telling me Marvel and Sony can’t make a comic book app for the PS3 too? It’s not like the content can’t scale to larger screens..

  • my psp is gone so im missing this aspect of my psn life, hope my comics/books can be read in the next iteration of psp2’s if they are retriveable in my downloads.

  • I’ve been monitoring the Playstation Comic Book updates for a few months now. Every time, just by the lack of replies, it shows me that consumers aren’t even giving it a chance. These are great updates, great reads, and new/updated content should always be welcomes. It’s not they only give you 1 or 2 comics per update. It’s more like a dozen+ every update.

The reason why the Comic Reader is only on the PSP is because any sane reader will tell you that they enjoy taking the read with them, not be told to plant themselves in front of a screen. Reading is and always will be on OUR time. Which means that a chapter here, a page or two there…a full fledged read-a-thon on a good day, etc. It’s on instinct. Books, eReaders, and the PSP.

Having the Comic Book reader on the PS3 would be “cool” but most of you would simply take the app for granted. I’m sure you can’t imagine yourself jumping on your PS3 to continue and finish up a read on the daily, now can you?

    Rock on Sony/Playstation.

  • Still waiting for Canada…..

it was suppose to be in 2010 no??

  • rebeljd: One enormous problem with that — I own a PS3. I don’t own a PSP, and probably won’t own one for some time. And I doubt I’m even in the minority. So while I’d love to check out a lot of these comics and think it would be awesome to have them in HD on my TV…I can’t.

Clearly there is demand for a PS3-based comics app. Is it enough demand to justify the cost of writing and supporting it? I don’t know the business logic that goes into that — but just because such an app wouldn’t fit your needs well, don’t assume it wouldn’t fit anyone’s needs well.

My guess is that it has more to do with licensing issues than with any technical reason.

  • still wonder woman’s the best)) Did anyone try Irredeemable yet?
