PlayStation Network will undergo maintenance tomorrow, September 21st. Maintenance is expected to start at just after 8 am Pacific and will last for several hours, until approximately 5 pm Pacific. During this time, users won’t be able to access the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Home or Account Management, and may encounter difficulty while signing in to PSN.
Because this maintenance window overlaps the normal PlayStation Store publish, we’ll be making new content available tonight. Grace Chen will post the store content as normal when the content is live.
Please stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for updates on tonight’s store publish and for a notice when PSN is fully back online.

Yeah, I also noticed that HV bowling has a disc-based option on the 21st…but I already own it via PSN. I hope they add some other options in the single player mode for the PSN version…I already beat everything except for Hiro.

What about games that were supposed to be getting patched for Move Support? will they be affected as well?
I appreciate the early warning and the PS Store update a day early. The only real drawback to a Tuesday system update is that customers will be purchasing new releases on Tuesday and won’t be able to log into PSN.
I was wondering if the Maintenance will affect the release of the Heavy Rain Move patch? I’d love to get it earlier than later.
P.S. Sony Please patch HV Bowling for NA. Move and bowling seem so fun.

If this is a scheduled maintenance, why wasn’t it scheduled for today or Wednesday or Thursday? Why not schedule the next one to avoid the PS Store update?

I know this isn’t on your list of priorities, but those of us who bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance have been left out in the cold for months without a patch to fix the sound issues that the 3.40 Firmware update caused. There has been no fix thus far, and it really takes away a great aspect of the game.
Please help correct this, because Activision is blaming it on you!

The reason it was likely made for tomorrow is because Heavy Rain is updated on Wednesday.

To be more specific, the new BlazBlue character Valkenhayn and the Liars and Cheats pack for Red Dead Redemption. Been really waiting for those and I don’t want to wait another week. :(

Just got a move controller, unfortunately, GameStop messed up my order of the sports bundle and gave me an x-box controller. Don’t have bundle yet, so all I can do is navigate xmb with my second controller. Did that for an hour though!

It’s hilarious to see all these people who have the negative comments for Sony and the PSN service & it’s updates. Thankfully, Sony doesn’t judge the whole community based on the actions of a few little kids who get mad and want to pitch a little temper tantrum. If someone was giving me something free, and keeping it secure for me for free, then I don’t think I’d have the audacity or GALL to complain like some of the above comments.
Not to mention these people probably can’t use the interweb for research, or they’d know already that the morons who call themselves hackers are pushing Sony’s hand at security and causing some of these updates..blame the idiots, not Sony. Thank a hacker (I mean theif).
What a joke some folks are …they should be transported back to the day where NOTHING on a game console was free and there was no online play or firmware updates..and they could just be stuck with their 16-bit system and have no choice but BUY everything for it if they wanted to play a game. I missed “The drop” this week and wondered what happened. Then I recall Jeff posting about Sid and Rey coming back from TGS. I assume that they didn’t do a Drop this week due to travel to/from TGS 2010.
I heard that the Valkenhayn DLC for BlazBlue was going to be released on the 21st. Kinda surprised nobody’s brought that up yet.

I’m sorry. You may have already posted a response to this, but as I looked, I couldn’t see anything. Uh… If everything is going to be down for maintenance tomorrow and it seems Red Dead Redemption is getting an early release I suppose a day early, well, logically I’d assume that’s the case for ‘Heavy Rain.’ So, since Heavy Rain was scheduled to get a patch tomorrow for Move support, does that mean we’ll be getting that patch early as well, or is it still on for tomorrow evening it will be available or will we be waiting until the 23rd to get this patch update for Heavy Rain. Or did I misunderstand everything, and it only means that Heavy Rain Move Edition DEMO would be released tomorrow. Can you give us some information on what we can expect exactly from Heavy Rain Move Edition? Thanks man! This must really suck for you having to cater to all these questions of everyone trying to squeeze information and possibly info you can’t really talk about. i.e. the Netflix.
Is Sonic Adventure coming to the PS Store tonight or Wednesday? I was looking online and came across websites that said the 22nd, but I don’t see why they would delay this game by a day, instead of just adding it with the PS Store update…
