Hi everyone, here’s a peek at what’s being offered next week for PlayStation Plus subscribers. Also, moving forward, we’ll be providing these updates on free, exclusive and discounted PlayStation Plus items roughly 2 weeks in advance. So look for another update next Wednesday for the September 21 publish of PlayStation Plus content.
Next week we will have a full game trial for the multiplayer classic, Warhawk. Download the full game trial and take to land and air in an all out war between the Eucadian and Chernovan armies. Also, get an early sneak peek at the newest God of War title, God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Answers will be revealed for the events between God of War and God of War II in Kratos’s newest PSP adventure.

Dammit, looks like I’m subscribing to PS+ next week then.
You know i usually don’t like to complain, but I have to say I have become more and more confused on this update/preview/scoop/publish schedule within these PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Store posts. I’m thinking since PlayStation Plus is a new service you are trying to establish a schedule, but its a bit frustrating to follow right now…..All I can feel confident about at this point is that Tuesday’s the store gets its weekly update for all gamers. Whether it has new PlayStation Plus content, or previous content is taken down seems like a crap shoot (besides the fact in this post you have a couple of specific dates like next week and the 21st of course). Other than that, thanks for continuing overall to work getting content to us. Just wanted to share an opinion.
Game trials and early access to game demos hardly make it worth being a PSN+ subscriber.
Give me an across-the-board discount and allow me to choose the games, throw in an occasional GOOD freebie, and maybe some dlc of my choosing. Also, by “good” freebie, I mean something highly desirable. Not just a bunch of relatively unprofitable games that can be included to create a greater perceived value. That’s bogus.
Anyway, I understand that I only get to keep the freebies for as long as I continue to pay for PSN+. Since I have to keep PAYING for these “freebies”, they’d better be worth it.
Forget the demos, early access trials, avatars, etc.. They sure won’t be enough to get me to renew.

Hmm. The PSP is on its last legs and one sure fire game that will bring life to it is God of War Ghost of Sparta. But instead of releasing the demo to all PSP users, you think “Here’s an idea, let’s only give the demo to a select few. That will sure help generate interest in the PSP.”
Granted, the demo will eventually come out to everyone. But when it comes to the PSP – one would think that Sony would be doing everything in its power to keep the device afloat and make it appealing in the eyes of the consumers. Give the demo to everyone now and generate some interest in the device.
How about content once a week instead of every other week!
Make the Full Game Trials longer and bring the KZ 3 Beta or LBP2 Beta!
i agree with TripG , even though im a playstation+ subscriber i think that sony should take advantage that they have an amazing title coming to the psp this holidays and let as many people as they can try the demo not just selected few , hope to see a PSP2 announcement soon , very soon and please sony dont forget that we want 2 analog sticks and full psn functionalities ( i want to be able to talk to my psn friends when im not using my ps3 )
Well I guess its just too bad I already own all those games and I bought PS+ for my PS3, I don’t even own a PSP, So the Ghosts of Sparta is worthless for me too :( I’m thinking that if this doesn’t get a lot better between now and renewal time next year, I might just have to drop out of PS+ deal, just doesn’t seem like its worth it to me. I honestly thought we were going to get a set percentage off all games and movies. You guys might want to conciser that, especially off the movies, I can already find like 1:5 movies that you guys rent for 4$ for free on Netflix.com and rest I can get through amazon or blockbuster.com for 1.99$

i remember they give us 1 free add-on map pack for warhawk already on the first PS+ month for warhawk tournament and selling it for 1.25$ for non-PS+.

Why should I pay the same price as EU PS+ subscribers when they get much better content? Where is my free copy of LBP that I can keep?
What a poor ps+ update. You offer just old ps3 games.this one is a 3 year old one so i dont care the trial. I regret my subscription because i just download the free qore episodes so far.
No Final Fantasy 14 beta for Plus subscribers? I didn’t buy Final Fantasy 13 so I don’t have a beta code and I heard the game isn’t all that good, but I’d love to try out the beta myself so I can decide if I like it or not.

I’m getting a little more than peeved at the fact the rest of the world is getting no love from this title..
I understand the fact that GoW: GoS has been developed in the US, but COME ON!! When are other countries going to get a release date?? And to now slap us in the face by putting up a demo some of us have been waiting for for months on something we can’t even access.. Sorry to say, but it stinks..
As somebody else stated, why give PS3 owners something they can’t even use?!?? You can’t make the assumption that all users have both consoles, SONY, it’s just not the case..
I’ve been following this title’s progress since day one, only to be disappointed time and time again because I live in the wrong country or am not financially viable.. What, isn’t that discrimination or something??
I’m beginning to see that I’m not the only one who wants some answers.. Listen to people’s concerns, SONY, or you’ll start losing them..
Come on Playstation, please improve this + service because the updates are so pathetic. I convinced 2 friends to join but now I feel guilty since the service is so bland. At least Europe’s + service is much better, you can learn something from them.
Most people have Warhawk. A lot of people who subscribe to + have most of those free games, free DLCs and discounted titles. Offering free avatars and themes and early demos for bad games does not justify paying $50 for the service. Most of those discounts are not really discounts. I have a feeling you guys have no clue on how to use the service properly.
This service may be great for new PS3 owners but for those that have been here since day 1 it feels like we’re being ripped off. Just read most of the comments here and I hope you guys learn something by listening. I really hope it improves soon.
I hope we get some replies soon!!!! Playstation should definitely step it up for Playstation plus….. Still waiting for Beta Invites….. New game features like the automatic downloads….. THAT’S WHAT I PAID 50 dollars for….
I feel like a schmuck. I have spend probably thousands of dollars on PSN content over the years, and then I signed up for PS+ and so far there have been like 2 early access demos that interested me and 2 minis that were OK, and other than that I already owned or was completely uninterested in EVERYTHING ELSE. I joined for free games each month, and I’ve already owned every single free full-PSN game you’ve given away each month. Dangit!
I’m a subscribor. You come out with PSP demos for the PSP.. ok cool..but if I don’t have a PSP, then I get ZERO usage from ALL of those updates and/or discounts. Just saying.
Why can’t you come out with a PSP Demo, that we can PLAY on our PS3’s when we download the Demo from the store.
For us who thought about getting one, Why can’t you give us PS3 only owners, a chance to play any PSP Demo?
That way, I have a chance to play a PSP demo, on my PS3. That way I can get a feel for the PSP game itself. If I really liked it, then I would think about getting a PSP.
Since not owning a PSP, then your bi weekly updates are useless if the majority of stuff released is for the PSP only.

We get a Full game trial for Warhawk. A game mind you that came out LAST YEAR, Add ons, dynamic themese, wallpaper and a PSP Early access Demo to the new GOW PSP game, which I can’t play cause I don’t have a PSP.
So next week out of ALL those things coming to us PS+ subscribers, I really care about, PS3 GAMES, I get another PS MINI. JOY. I get a Free Game Trial for a OLD game, a game I already have

as soon as the BETA’s for lbp2, MotorStorm:Apocolyps,Twisted Metal and a few other good game are available..then i will jump on the PSN PLUS bandwagon :P the free games that are being offered i ALREADY OWN! :/ i just hope you guys dont keep it a secret..yet we all know how much SONY love to SURPRISE us :p

Where are the betas? Will it happen with FFXIV? Maybe DCUO? I would love either as I won’t pay a high monthly fee for either. Maybe a nice discount on the monthly fee for both? There is so much that + could bring to the table.
I love you, Sony. I have since I grew out of SNES. But you people need to realize what an “avid” gamer is. We are nerds that will love you forever as long as we are getting our money’s worth. Sony is usually so good at this, I don’t understand why + is in such a sorry state.
Please learn that Mini’s are Flash Games that I can play for free on my laptop (I’m looking at you, FieldRunners). If I want a PS1 game nowadays, I could get the emulator for free, but I already own the best ones.
wow good week for me. rest of you can complain but i think plus is worth the money i payed. Vempire wars is awesome for the psp and been playing it a lot. critter crunch is also awesome. and mushroom wars but i didnt play this enough yet. i think plus is worth the money so far

I Ihave become Sooo disinterested in the ps+ product I compleatly forgot to check out their current content , just recently checked and found out i was better off not knowing . early access to god of war … pithy … i can wait a whopping 7 days before everyone else gets it . if they made it so that purchased content gets pushed faster to subscribers … maybe i’ll, resubscribe , but for me to pay for tired games and content to be pushed to me ??? no thanks i’ll just use that money for quality new content , will i get less . yep … but for some people QUALITY and newness matter alot , and when something says it’s “exclusive” , it had better be … nothing exclusive about getting games that are old , or second rate .

Even at $60/year Xbox Live blows this service away. Can’t believe there isn’t even cross game voice chat, until then, I won’t buy it.

It lets me know what to expect so I can better decide whether to buy now or later.
PS. You know what would be a great addition to PS+? This new Music Unlimited service I hear is coming to Europe. Bring it over to U.S. shores and make me a happy camper :)
PPS. And let the music sync with Sony Walkman devices, and I’d be an even happier camper. Now that’s an incentive to join PS+.

I’ve really got to agree with some of these other folks. I didn’t want to complain about PS+, but lets look at the facts: When I signed up, it was for weekly content. There was a free PS3 game, and decent content the first month. After subscribing, you cut the amount of content in half? Biweekly now? That’s like subscribing to a monthly magazine that decides to go bi-monthly after you’ve already paid. It’s bait and switch, regardless of any loopholes in the fine print.
I’m not a child, I’m an adult gamer. My gaming budget is limited as it is. Sony, I went with you over Xbox live and gave you the benefit of the doubt. Thanks for making me regret my purchase. I will not be renewing my PS+ membership, and will no longer encourage anyone else to sign up. Start including real content, like PS3 games, or at least PS1 games that anyone would ever want to play again. Rally Cross, really? 2Xtreme? These games were tossed in a game store dumpster years ago due to lack of sales. Noone wants to play that stuff.
Really, what I’m asking for is one PS3 game a month. WipeoutHD was honestly the only thing worth my PS+ subscription.
