  • Nice. Now Vagrant Story? Einhander?

Come on Square, this isn’t hard. People want these. RELEASE THEM LIKE THEY ARE IN JAPAN/EUROPE.

  • Finally no more complaining when this game coming out.

  • Lordy, it’s about time!

  • Now that this is finally coming out make the PS1 Square legacy complete please by bringing out Vagrant Story and Xenogears at least. Bushido Blade 1 and 2 would be nice as well.

  • Greatttttttttttttt

  • Finally, one of the only FF games I have never played!!!! I am a huge fan of the series, cannot wait to get this after work!

  • Sooo when are we gonna see Chrono Cross?

  • “Patiently waiting” XD

  • So no explanation on why we had to wait while the rest of world got it first? Sony should put more effort into customer relations and less into stupid reality shows and worthless coming soon announcements.

  • Vivi is one of my most beloved characters ever and my favorite of all Final Fantasy games. Vivi is legen…wait for it…dary.

  • I really have to say I hope Square Enix’s next release on PSN is Final Fantasy 1 & 2 20th Anniversary Editions. Can you say if this is coming any time soon or not? I traded in my PSP 2000 and all it’s games for my PSP Go, and FF1 and 2 are really the only games I miss that I havn’t been able to rebuy on the PSN Store.

  • Now these nerds can sthu with the complaining and spamming.

  • ultimatepunchrod

i like the old ps1 era JRPGs so this should be cool, but im really hoping for the legend of dragoon to come out

  • heck yeah thx. will be buying. Im playing through FF8 right now. So i got to beat it this weekend to be set up for FF9 lol

  • Ok… the “big wigs” at Sony finally stop playing with themselves to release FFIX for PSN. BUT!!! If FFIX fails to hit PSN on Tuesday… there’s gonna be a lot, and I do mean A LOT of very angry people out there. You guys better keep your promise of launching FFIX for PSN on the 15th!!!

  • While im here. Parasite Eve needs to be released. Hopefully someone important see’s this message

  • Quick Question!
Why PS1 classics games dont have trophies? i already have all the FF games on ps1 and the lack of trophies its holding me back into buying all the classics on the PSN.

When are u releasing Xenogears too? That Game was a Master Piece too. (when u do PLS give me trophies and platinum for it!)

  • This was one of the best from back before Square Enix became a traitor and SOLD OUT on Sony.

  • Great! love to play this game again :3

  • i’m going to delay getting my psp repair (btw $80 to repair a broke screen is a rip off) and getting a $50 psn card just so i can get this game. after waiting from the time FF7 was released on psn, the only thing i can say is FINALLY!

  • WOW Sony. Release it in Japan, then a few weeks later in Europe, but NOOO we gotta wait till E3 to release it in America. Basically your just doing what you did with Final Fantasy VII but with XI. well dont screw this up and wait till almost midnight to actually put it in the store like you did with VII.

  • Now how about Einhander, Xenogears, Bushido Blade, etc? And please don’t make any more big deals about putting those old PSone games on the PSN; I don’t know about everyone else but it only annoys me, as if to say, “We at Square-Enix will decide once a year to come down from the heavens and give you mortals a game you’ve actually heard of and want…”

  • Yay! I get paid tomorrow so I’m set to have money ready next tuesday. Now all I need is Final Fantasy Anthology and I’m set.

  • Thank you.

  • WOOT! Thanks SE! Is there any word on whether the NA psn might get Xenogears or Vagrant story at any point in time as well? Heck, I wouldn’t mind seeing every single Squaresoft psone rpg get released on the psn, I’d probably buy every single one! And I am sure alot of other people would as well!

  • Thankfully, all the nerd rage will soon be over, at least for this title, and all will be peaceful in the land of PSN — for a few hours at least.

To think, I could have played FF IX again on my PS3 whenever I wanted since I still have all the discs.

  • my love for PSN overflows ^_^

i will have my top favorite games all on my PSP next tuesday ^_^

  • @67 – They don’t have trophies because they aren’t remakes. They are just the old PS1 discs copied onto PSN, and played via an emulator.

Which is exactly why it’s so absurd that S-E doles out these games so sparingly, they could put their whole back library out in a week if they chose to.

  • Finally now it will come out…
it would be awesome to see vagrant story, digimon world 1, legend of dragoon, parasite eve 1 and 2, persona 2, Chrono cross

  • SE, how about releasing Front Mission 3? that would be a good move since a new FM is scheduled to be released this year.

  • Based on the store comments, I would assume many people are happy for this.

  • Best FF to date.

  • And Jeff, I remember you mentioning once you never got around to playing FF9. now is your chance. better not skip over it again lol. really a great game

  • Can we get some PSP love please? Release Crisis Core and Valkyrie Profile on the PSN already! Also you better have Birth by Sleep on the PSN when it launches or heads will roll!

There’s no excuses for not having in anymore since the game’s protection has been hacked for a while now… The only ones you’d be hurting is legitimate consumers like myself, not the pirates!

  • Next let’s see some Brave Fencer Musashi.

  • So now that we have the PS Trilogy out of the Way….

    Vagrant Story
    Bushido Blade
    Bushido Blade 2
    Tobal No. 1
FF Origins (and UMD images please)
    FF Chronicles
    FF Anthology
    Chrono Cross
    Ehrgeiz
    Einhander
    Xenogears

Wheres the Arc The Lad collection to btw. Having a hard time securing those working designs images lol.

    pretty please :-D

  • This was the first game that I ever purchased on my own when I was maybe 12? It is still one of my most fondly remembered games, and I cannot wait to revisit it on my new PSP. :3

  • You know, back when I first played this game on the original Playstation, I used to start up the game just so I could listen to the music. The game is great, but I remember loving Eiko’s theme, as well as the overworld map theme. The game would just sit idle whenever Eiko would pop up and I’d be sitting by the tv, slightly bouncing to the rhythm, lol. Sounds kind of silly, but I liked it that much.

Years later, I found the soundtrack at an anime shop and purchased it alongside with the FFVIII soundtrack. Uematsu-san is a genius. Can’t wait to take this game on the go with my PSP :)

  • ive gotta say…can we please just stop asking for lists of games and be happy for once?

some people complain for weeks about this game, while others say “once it gets released, they’ll just move onto something else to demand”, to which i thought “ofcourse not…people will fill the posting up with cries of joy”.

sadly, those people were right. people are either saying “its about time” (ofcourse it is but cant you just say thank you?), or “great, now how bout these 30 games?”. i, for one, will buy the game, play it, and enjoy it.

  • I still have my discs, but SOLD.

  • GREAT JOB…!!!

  • Even though I have Peace Walker to play I’ll definitely be buying this. I’ve been wanting to replay it for over a year now when my friend borrowed my discs (which are kind of scratched up).

Also, you guys are missing a huge opportunity if you’re not releasing your other PS1 classics. I’m sure there is a nice chunk of people that would also buy stuff like Xenogears on day one. I know I would.

  • Why did it take so long? geez. its about time.

  • This is nice, yet, I would rather Sony fix the issues with playing the real discs on my PS3, so there are no more glitches in the games. Nearly every Final Fantasy PSOne title has issues with the PS3, and these problems need to be fixed. Please Sony, fix these issues! I do not want to re-purchase the game, just because the system has problems that can be fixed through firmware updates, and you won’t fix it.

  • The fact that this was held back until E3 week when the rest of the world already has baits cynic in me, but all the love for FFIX in these comments warms this fan’s heart. FFIX was the best of the Playstation Final Fantasy games; I can’t wait to play it anywhere on my PSP.

Although it might be a little greedy of me, I at least hope the timing of this release leads to the announcement of other PSone Classics during the actual conference. Vagrant Story? Parasite Eve? Yes, please.

  • Finally the wait is over, buying this on Tuesday for sure.

  • Well finally a AAA title being released on PSN instead of all the junk we’ve been getting for quite some time.

    Next~

    Chrono Cross
    Parasite Eve
    Parasite Eve 2
    Vagrant Story
    Xenogears

That should do it for my PSone Classics needs.

  • I will have to agree with Sekoku (post #50).
Square please release Vagrant Story and Einhander , in North America. They are my two favorite Square PS1 games. I would love to have them on my PSP.

  • YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was just asking about this with my brother !
