Because 30 characters 15 marvel 15 capcom and they are looking for the characters with the most well known persona’s and Guile isnt really in the category I think.

yeah I don’t think it’s set in stone that it will be 30
100 characters is too much to ask, I think. In MvC2 they could re-use a ton of assets, not so much here.
In all seriousness though i REALLY hope they have unlockable costumes and extras, that would really make this game awesome, i love MvC2 but the different colored costumes got a bit tedious lol Different suits is definitly a plus!!!
I figure Captain Commando, Ken, Ryu, Chun-li, Dante, Trish, Megaman, Zero, Chris, Frank West and a few others but Guile may get bumped out.

But with benches as deep as Marvel and Capcom have, the more characters they can fit in the better.

Actually, it only has two characters – Captain Marvel and Captain Commando.

2-button fighter, one on one, you can’t choose the same character.
It was a weird choice, I admit, but I think it will pay off in the long run.

yeah 56 in MVC2, I figure they will reuse some characters from tatsunoku vs capcom but im not sure who was all in that.

I know this character aint either Capcom OR Marvel, but i just think he would be a cool special guest, Cole from Infamous would be awesome!! I mean already Infamous has the comic styled cutscenes so why not? Melee was pretty cool, and he has lightning powers all the better! ^_^
also there’s now weapon pickups, ala smash bros. Really weird direction they’re taking this game.
