  • @tj567

no the Iphone versions of FF1 aren’t the PSP ones, they’re the PS1 versions.

  • There really are not that many new psp games being made. Every umd release should also be released via download. Where’s blazblue, shadow of destiny, metal slug, yu-gi-oh, formula one racing, mytran wars? Only about have the umd games get a digital version (and thats pathetic). Sony u can do better and we expect better. Will someone please contact atari and ask them nicely and officially welcome them to please release there games on the network I would like to see their psp games like exit 1 and 2, space invaders extreme, D&D stratagy, n+, downstream panic, etc grace your store. And were are all the squaresoft games? Thanks for reading.

  • is the heavy rain theme the one that was on sale before the game came out?

that would suck for me, this would make me hold off on future theme purchases.. i’d prefer each offering to be unique, especially since i’m a qore subscriber 2 years in a row

  • @Pullus, Not trying to have a war of words, but have u seen the itunes games? They really are ports of the psp game, not the ps1 game (check in ign review of game). Even if they were a port of the ps1 game it’s still pathetic that it has not been released one the playstation store and is avaible via itunes for $8.99.

  • Well, finally Rock Band: Unplugged is out…THANK YOU FOR DOING THAT! And at such a great price (I don’t mind if it is the lite version, still pretty awesome).

However, with GOW3 coming out soon, I have hardly any money left to spend on downloads…

  • guys, major error!!! on Home when you customize your character jewelry is spelled wrong!!!

  • Hey Grace, I understand that there’s nothing you can do about how late the updates have been lately, (Though I do long for the good ol days of noon updates) but perhaps you could at least do a “heads up” blog earlier in the day like the UK Playstation blog does? Just a thought. That way you can still take your time with the update to ensure everything is working properly, but we won’t have to wait all night to find out what’s going to be up.

  • Seems a fairly lousy week for us PSP owners, is megaman 10 a PS1 classic?

  • Wow Free Mag DLC. I hope the Bioshock 2 DLC get’s more people playing.

  • How is the MLB 10 The Show demo 2.9 GBs? The God of War 3 E3 demo was only 2.6. That’s crazy. Typo?

  • stupid update… JP HK and EU has a fat princess.. we US account expecting to be released this update.. but its not!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFFFFFFAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT PRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNCESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

  • I have never complained before but, dont you dare pull this [DELETED] come Peace Walker time. I have put up with alot of PSPgo neglect in silence, but if Peace Walker isn’t released on PSN the day the UMD is released, as someone already stated, i’m class actioning somebodys [DELETED]. I stuck my neck out defending the Go and what do I keep getting for facing the mob, a big [DELETED] you. I know alot of people complain for the smallest of things, but PSPgo owners have been treated like [DELETED] and i’m tired of it.

  • Why do so many people complain about people complaining? If people don’t complain (or maybe they’re just voicing their opinions?) then stuff will never get done. For most gamers this blog seems like a good place to post about the gaming stuff they want from Sony (avatars, games, ps1 games, dlc etc). Maybe Sony will get the message?

Or we could all just sit back, never add any input, and just wait and see how it goes. That will help too (probably not).

  • Blazblue would have been nice… Well my money is still here when you get around to actually wanting it.

  • 4 MORE DAYS!!!

    OH YEAH!!!

To bad the god of war forums effed up the experience for me…

    Yes, i know how it ends… :/

Oh well i hope it’s really game you’ll just have to see to believe…

So i take it no video of the UE unboxing video… Nice… Thanks sony for sticking it to the.. CONSUMERS! :'(

  • Ms. Grace,

When will the Heavy Rain “The Taxidermist” DLC be hitting the PS Store?

  • Is Dead or Alive Paradise coming anytime soon?

  • I love no one else is mentioning bfbc2 dlc that was suppose to be there on the games release that still hasnt shown up after 2 psn updates.

  • people complains because they have to complain about.. be fair… we buy psp for our own sake not just waiting and waitng til next update! fat princess.. bring it own..

  • can you put gex 2 ps1 classic on the store soon?

  • I’m sorry, I seem to be lost. I’m looking for the Store Update post, not the complain and moan board.

To be fair there’s stuff like GDC, the GoW3 launch, new Home update, and something called the Move, that’s probably kept these guys occupied this week. Oh well, back to our regularly scheduled complaints…

  • finally return to ostagar is released on PS3 sad i lost interest in Dragon age since then and don’t have intention to go back lol
other then that i would have got megamen 10 but already have it on my WII feeding freenzy also have it on my PC other then that nothing pick my interest?

  • Hi Grace,
Is it true that Playstation Home servers shuts down on April 1, 2010. The game informer magazine announces it on page 41.
What happens to all the merchandise I have purchased for my Avatars and furniture in Home.

    • The Game Informer story was an April Fool’s joke, and the servers aren’t being shut down. In fact, there’s been tremendous growth in Home since launch and we look forward to continuing to bring new and innovative experiences to the Home community :-)

  • Dead or Alive Paradise comes out in three weeks (the 30th of March is the ship date). Of course, whether or not it’s going to be on the PSN store, no one knows. It pretty much seems to be hit or miss with them. Mostly miss.

  • LOL, wow, big surprise…..once again a bunch of whiney cry baby idiots complaining about a good update. I mean seriously, threatening to get rid of your PS3 because of a great update like this? What a gaggle of friggin’ morons.

You “people” don’t even deserve to have PS3s or PSPs. If I were Sony I would hate all of you. This update has it all and you losers downrate it. You tools should just sell your PS3s and PSPs to real gamers that would appreciate them, and you go move on to Xbox where they embrace idiots that bash PS3 for no reason.

Anyway, great update. I’m getting lots of stuff this week. Demos, DLC, and 2 PSP games for my Go, maybe 3 with ChessMaster. I’m happy Ubisoft finally decided to drop the price of GRAW2. It’s a great game, I had it when I owned a UMD PSP. I’ve wanted it again, but $20 was too much. For $10 I’m gladly buying it.

  • Hey Sony great update.

I have Just a seggestion. since you guy’s release Dynamic Themes would it be possible to ask the developers to create not only the Theme but a Visual for the Music player to acompany the theme with it. I feel this would not only please the consumers ask for more visuals for the media player but allow the developers more creativity on the PS3 as a platform.
anyway’s keep up the good work and Thank’s again :).

  • when is Blazblue Portable coming to the Playstation Store?

  • @Darth-Krayt
So people should “whine” because the spend $250 on a PSP go because Sony promise support for the system then there is clearly none? Is it fair to them that Sony cannot keep their word to their PSP Go consumers? Yes, how dare the consumer voice their dissatisfaction with the lack of support for a product a company is clearly not supporting.

Ah yes, it fair to us consumers on the East-coast that has to wait up til 10PM just for the store update. The quality of these updates…well they are highly debatable. I for one don’t really care for these updates store updates anymore. I am sick of asking for avatars when Sony is showing a lack of support for it. I am sick of asking for someone of my favorite PlayStation 1 classic.

As for xbox live. You fit the profile of a typical xbox live gamer with your pitiful attempt to insult other users on this blog.

  • Hahahah, every week, the update posts are hilarious. The same people come in and complain about the same thing over and over and over. Obviously no one cares about your complaints. If it’s so hurtful to you, sell your PS3 and PSP Go. You’ll still get some good money for it, especially since PS3 supply is in a shortage right now and the PSP Go is still new.

But since you won’t do that because you are all full of hot air, stop whining. Every week it’s the same complaint and it never gets fixed. You know what they call people who keep repeating the same action even though it never works? Morons.

And now, back to the boohooin…

  • I’m really getting sick of seeing all these complaints every time, and I don’t even work for Sony. You guys aren’t giving them the praise they deserve. Maybe they will feel a little more enthusiasm about more content, if they feel the fans will give them a pat on the back for once?

  • What trips me out about avatars is I dont know why it’s so hard to get them on the psn. Maybe you guys should explain the avatar process so people will complain less. Cause it really seems like a easy thing to do and the amount of time we have been waiting is ridiculous.

  • Yea, 300 PSP games…no support…LOL, get a clue

If you don’t like waiting Thursday evening/night for the update, adjust your mind’s schedule to expect the updates on Friday then the update will be there as soon as you wake up.

If you’re sick of asking for avatars, stop asking, because I’m certainly sick of hearing you ask

If you’re sick of asking for PS1 games, stop asking. Better yet, if you want to over-pay for 15 year old PS1 games, do what anyone with half a brain would do. Find out the publisher of the games and send them e-mails letting them know. They certainly aren’t visiting the PSBlog to hear you’re crying for their ancient games. Sony just can’t post up any PS1 game just because you want it. The PUBLISHER has to create a digital version and send it over to Sony for distribution along with the rights to do so, and they probably have to pay Sony some $ as well for dist. and jus HOPE that there are enough people willing to over-pay for their ancient, out-dated game to make their $ back

Same goes for PSP games. The only thing you can blame Sony for is not having Sony games up and if there’s already an english version up in another territory. Otherwise, you’re just ignorant.

  • i just watched the gow 3 vengence trailer 40times

  • Oh, and just to add to the PS1 game thing, not only is it up to the PUBLISHERS to create digital version, but they also have to fund a whole nother playtest cycle for these ancient games to ensure they work properly on both PSP and PS3 hardware. ANNNNND that is all just assuming these publishers STILL have the rights to these old games, which many don’t not every company is willing to spend the money to reaccuire rights to these old games.

And again, same goes for PSP games.

  • Please give us Dead or Alive: Paradise DEMO!! :D

  • Finally! The best part of the week – Reading the comments on this update!

Complaining about little things like the PSN not updating at a fixed time, Avatars, etc is just silly. BUT, I FULLY support people who slam Sony in relation to their PSP GO’s because they can’t just go out and get any of those 300 games out there. And if the updates do include psp or ps1 games, they are usually nonamer games, and not the highest rated ones. Personally, I hope the PSP Go dies out like the betamax and sega systems. Shame on Sony for robbing all those people who bought PSP Go’s. I hope Sony lost money on its production.

  • Phantasy Star Portable Please <3

  • @ Darth-Krayt
You seem to know much. Please explain to me for piece of mind, taking into account everything you have already stated, why Sony would create something like the PSP Go because it’s OBVIOUSLY doing HORRIBLE in the market according to sales statistics, reviews, and of course, PSP Go owner’s comments on this article.

  • PSPGo owners have every right to complain.

Every week, the iPhone gets dozens of games. Every week, the PSPGo gets 1-2.

It’s getting so that the iPhone is getting more PSP games than PSN is. What with Square bringing over Final Fantasy, Take Two with GTA and Beaterator. And they are $20-30 less on it.

Sony should not have launched a digital download only device if they didn’t have the support for it.

  • Who cares if you have the right to complain? Everyone has the right to complain but when you’ve been complaining every week for 20 weeks, at what point do you realize that your complaints mean nothing?

  • this to all the users that are sticking up for sony regarding the the late update due to playstation home updates etc………..ALL OTHER REGIONS HAD HOME UPDATES and still managed to update on time. I’m not moaning about the content, time etc. it just rages me when users keep on sticking up for sony when they do not know the real reason for late updates etc. If there was a legitimate reason then i’m sure Grace (If she is even bothering with this) would let us know, but she is not going to…..R.I.P psp go…..long live psp 3000 :-)

  • I find it best to just pretend that Friday is update day…when you do this, the store is always updated bright and early Fridays.

  • Oh….No Heavy Rain’s taxidermist chapter for non preorder users :(

  • Man I love my PS3 alot, but come on with these updates! Each time I get excited to see something good and it’s a disappoinment! Especially with the PS1 games. There’s a lot they throw on there I’ve never even heard of before. Where’s Nightmare Creatures 1 & 2, or Jackie Chan’s Stuntmaster?!
Please do something with the store updates!

  • I find it best to pretend that Sony actually reads these comments and see the amount of animosity growing in the community… why not pretend that Sony cares about it’s customers and the ones that pay their employees… Pretend that your questions here are being answered… QUIT COMPLAINING if sony actually cared they would have done something about this “situation” a long time ago…They’re busy trying to figure out how to increase sales…

  • HAHAAHHHA! Oh my god! This is too freaking funny! I can’t stop laughing at how Sony screwed all the PSP Go owners! Lies about what sort of support it would have and that the back catalog would be available for download! Over 500 PSP games on UMD and only 100 or so are available for the Go! HAHHHAHHHAA! Sony keep f***ing your customers in the arse! Thank god I sold my $250 piece of crap! Should have bought an iPhone with that money!

    F.U.

  • Nynja….thanks for pouring salt in the wound…..I am never purchasing another Sony handheld again. I just wont do it. The only reason I am even keeping the GO is for my movies and the fact that my hatred for Apple is just ahead of my growing hatred for Sony.

  • Come on when is Castle Crashers coming out?

  • To all those who always complain about how overseas gets everything and the US gets nothing, I present to you the following demos:

    MLB 10 The Show
    Megaman 10
    Feeding Frenzy 2

Not much, but something we got that THEY didn’t.

PS – I do agree with the “late update” whining, which technically can’t be late b/c Sony won’t set up a time. I hope the airlines don’t pick up on that.

  • I’m not complaining here. Just a question.
While I would love to buy the Grid DLC. I haven’t been able to buy the game. My closest GameStop has been telling me that it was discontinued. Does this DLC mean that it will be rereleased.
