PlayStation Around the Web: What We Read

“Why don’t you ever do anything on the East Coast?”

That’s a common refrain when we announce plans for our events and meet-ups. Well, this week we’re going to roll up our sleeves and get going on our community plan for PAX East. How many of you will be in the Boston area at the end of March? What would you like to do, and where?

For the past two Seattle PAXes, we had a donut breakfast meetup (I think Joystiq is doing something similar this year), and we invited community into our (formerly) media-only MAG event.

We’ve already got some ideas, but let’s hear it from you!

  • Jeff-
Do you know how I could make contact with Namco via email so I can asked them if they are going to send the Tales of Varspa ps3 port state-side. I know others must be bugging you ’bout this to, but I’d figure the more US fans that want it, the more of a chance it will happen. Thank you.

P.S. When are the PSOne “Tales of” games going to be on the psn?

  • Why don’t you ever do anything in the Mid-West?
If you hit up some college towns like KU you’re most definitely going to find a fan base.

  • I REALLY want that Flying Hamster game! It looks so cute and hilarious. Hamsters, beer, and laser-shooting owls!? Sign me up! XD

  • Well , My Wife [PSN NightNyx] and I [PSN Lugoves] are continuing making the trip from Florida to Boston for a Meet up … Help me decide if it’ll be worth the trip Jeff R. Are you gonna be there? Anyone else we might know/read/like to meet? We just two crazy gamers, donuts are cool … :-) I was skimming the comments to see what OTHER ideas peeps came up with for PAX boston, but most comments seemed a bit ‘Off topic’ … Keep us posted on PAX and we’ll meet up …

  • Why dont you guys come to Miami Beach MAAAN!!! have some fun!!! play some games, contests, party!!! cmone you know you want to!!!

  • Boston? Really?

Pretty darn cool…we never get anything up here in Mass.

I say we all go down to Kelly’s!

  • C’mon people, they’re askin’ for ideas!!!

Hey Jeff, I met you at the MAG meetup at PAX a few months ago, I was there with my girlfriend and you spotted my Philly accent. We talked about Philadelphia a bit and slang like “jawn” and all that. I can’t wait to see what you guys got in store for us in Boston!!!

I think Gran Turismo 5 would be an incredible opportunity for the meetup, since most of the big games we know about will be released by then (MAG, WKC, GOW). Maybe the 3D tech you guys got for Stardust and Motorstorm would be great and feasible as well?

Anyway good luck and I really hope you guys come through in setting a meet up on the East Coast!!! Finally!

  • @Jeff R.

    you should check out http://www.Home-Watch.blogspot.com

    it’s a pretty good read.

  • Oh, I have an idea. Why don’t you guys fix the problems everyone is experiencing with the Game system and PlayStation Home instead of adding more content, and making more problems?

  • What ever happened to Castle Crashers coming to PS3?

  • Missed out on PAX when it was in Seattle…will NOT miss it this time, especially when I’m less than 90 minutes away and have a selection of couches to crash on. Hoping to get the newspaper I work for to send me in an official capacity..on second thought.. who wants to go there and work!? :)

  • Oh wow! I’m so glad that something is finally going to happen in Boston! Any kind of meet up will be awesome. Even if we just get together and check out trailers and demos of upcoming games, that’s enough for me. (Well, freebies are always a plus!)
