Hey UNCHARTED fans,
Hope you guys have been enjoying the multiplayer demo these past two weeks. Remember that UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves goes on sale as early as midnight tonight at over 800 GameStop stores (Check here for store locations).
The main reason for this post is that we just got word that the multiplayer demo ended earlier today and unfortunately we won’t be able to get it back up before the game launches. So for those who wanted to get on and play some UNCHARTED 2 multiplayer goodness, you’re going to have to wait a few short hours till the game goes on sale.
I know we had a contest running with a chance to win 10 Fortune Hunter Editions every day Saturday through Monday…so here is what we’re going to do. For Saturday and Sunday we’re going to increase the number of Fortune Hunter Edition prizes from 10 to 20 each day. For Monday, we’re going to honor the contest by drawing 10 winners from all those who logged on this morning.
Chances to win the Fortune Hunter Edition don’t stop there. This weekend, if you own the game and are planning to play online, we’ll be randomly drawing names Friday – Sunday with a total of 30 Fortune Hunter Editions up for grabs. Contest rules to follow. My U2 copy has just been dispatched *Booya!*, but i got a question, will Naughty Dog improve the Finding Player matchmaking speed? Cause in the beta it could take ages to find them :s.
Other then the matchmaking speed, the game is perfect imo, only thing that would make it abit better is 7vs7 or 10vs10.
I will give it up to Naughty Dog. they really blow me out of this world with this game. i never played the first uncharted. i decided to give unharted 2 a try and iam blown away. i only played the first 10 mins so far and iam excited. my try out the first uncharted.

But sadly I won’t get it before one day later than you because I don’t live in North America:( But I’m going to get a nice bunch of money because platinum; so I have to endure it!;) Looking forward! I have two questions about entering.
The Official Rules say: “To enter the Promotion and have a chance to win, Entrants launch the Demo, go to the online lobby, select the Matchmaking icon and join any open match. Once joining a match, Entrant is entered into the Promotion for that day.”
If I played and joined multiple matches on Sunday night into Monday morning, does this mean that I’ve only entered the promotion on Sunday and not Monday too because I didn’t exit and relaunch the demo on Monday morning?
Also, are entry days based on the Pacific timezone?

I’ve played both Uncharted 2 MP demos and ND did some nice finetuning after the 1st demo finished. Ammo pickups are better w 2nd demo and new maps and match types are challenging.
I picked up Uncharted 2 and have played through several chapters of the single player campaign and it’s very fun – the cutscenes are so well integrated with gameplay that a few times, I didn’t realize that it was time to put down or pick up my controller.
It’s cool that ND offers option to use Uncharted Drake’s Fortune stats to add cash to my Uncharted 2 Among Thieves stats.
I also played several Uncharted 2 MP matches (after the launch) and the Old City map really needs teamwork to win. I haven’t played the Train Wreck or Sanctuary maps yet as everyone is voting for other maps (whatever they happen to be).
Several players were already ranked into their 20s to 40s last night after 12am PT – it was crazy. They also unlocked or I guess got a pre-order exclusive for a couple of villain skins that threw me and made the matches a bit harder – Flynn (visually he is dressed like a hero – have to pay attention to the red name tag) and a skeleton (less body mass?).
Incredible job with Uncharted 2, ND!
Picked up 4 copies today! I’d still love this Hunter Edition big time.
Went to the Seattle event with my son and we had an absolute blast! He’s already completed the game (and enjoys beating Dad’s um… ‘rear’ in Multiplayer).
The only thing better would be winning a Fortune Hunter Edition. Thanks for a GREAT game Naughty Dog!

I’m loving the game so far. I am about 25 minutes in and the attention to detail is superb. From the graphics, sound, controls, voice acting, and everything in between. Great job ND.

I never played Uncharted 1 let alone Uncharted 2 so i don’t have a clue about the series, is it really good? If it has better shooting gameplay than fallout 3 and better graphics than fallout 3 then I’ll really want to get it. Fallout 3 was the best shooter/RPG on the PS3 in my opinion.

I did notice this game having a 1GB install, I thought Naughty Dog said there wouldn’t be a manditory install?
This game is awesome. Anyone who owns a PS3 needs to pick this up now. If you don’t have a PS3… buy one now. This game blows away Gears of War 1 & 2. I can say that cuz I have all systems and have played through both games. Go get some everybody!

i am very enthusiastic and egger to get this game by the end of this month. yeh it is the one of the best games ever made by the Naughty Dog. It has awesome story line,graphics are too good.. The most important part of this game is the music. The music of this game sounds like an ancient times of temple bell.At last i will rate this game as 10 out of 10.

This is complete madness.
People are, of course, free to do whatever they wish with their property. But the fact that this copy immediately ended up on eBay for sale to the highest bidder is reprehensible on so many levels… and personally insulting to boot.
NaughtyDog created these “Fortune Hunter Editions” as special rewards for their loyal fans… something to keep, cherish, play with and enjoy. Most gamers – myself included – would be overjoyed to own such a magnificent edition as this, where it would be displayed as one of the centerpieces of their personal game collection.
NaughtyDog certainly did not intend for the “Fortune Hunter Edition” to be given to gamers (or resellers) who consider them solely for the financial windfall they might provide, These were not created just so NaughtyDog could pay your rent for a few months, or place a down payment on a car, or settle your gambling debts, or just fill your bank accounts.

These were created as a true gift for GAMERS; The fact that this “Fortune Hunter Edition” was given to someone who saw only dollar signs is simply unconscionable,… especially when there are now so many disillusioned gamers who are truly deserving of such an honor.
On a related note, I did predict that problems would occur due to NaughtyDog’s marketing decision which rendered the “Fortune Hunter Edition” essentially impossible to obtain without divine intevention or legit methods.
Far too many Collector’s Edition titles are being released, most of which are barely qualified to be called such. However, UNCHARTED 2 has broken that trend: first and foremost by being a game of incredible potential and quality, but also through their stunningly-designed Fortune Hunter Edition.
This outstanding package is one of the very few titles truly worthy of the “Collector’s Edition” banner… one well worth whatever retail price NaughtyDog would have asked from us. Instead, they’ve risked alienating many gamers (and obviously HAVE) because of this reversal in marketing practices.

On the one hand, I understand the reasoning behind this arragement… but as a gamer and collector, I’m extremely disappointed. NaughtyDog could have easily satisfied the entire gaming populace by creating two similar – yet distinct – CE’s:
• Fortune Hunter Edition — The existing Edition made available to pre-order retail customers only (as a limited series of several thousand copies) , only with pre-printed autographs instead of the real ones (or none at all).
• Fortune Hunter Deluxe Limited Edition — A secondary superior Deluxe L.E. package should have been created (with the run of only 200 copies) for contests and the like. As an example, this could have included packaging consisting of a real wooden box or leather-bound book (both “antiqued” to give it that old look) rather than cardboard; the Phurba Dagger could have included a more realistic painted base, perhaps made of real wood or stone (along with a limited numbered imprint); etc.
Ah well, I guess this is just wishful think on my (our?) behalf.

Uncharted 2 and Brutal Legend on the same day…..I guess I’m not paying any bills this week!
My local Gamestop sold out and wouldn’t sell me a copy because i didn’t preorder one. I’m sad today. Everywhere else is sold out too.
OK, Im finally geting off work now to go get my preorder. And make another 2 hr drive home. Then I’m locking myself in the house and not comeing out for A day and got to be back at work Thurs. I hope I do win that Fortune Hunter Edition I will be selling it on EBAY for $1 million dollars. LoL Thank U SONY and ND :)
I knew this game would be the bees knees, but I just played it for 3 hours straight and was late for a midterm lol…Best game I have ever played. Don’t worry ND, I still rocked the exam, now back to Drake!
i still dont see the point in going to the store at midnight. I mean im sure a lot of people will miss work in the morning and night… I will just go half with my father who loves this game series also tomorrow.

It makes me mad someone is ebaying that fortune hunter edition, and for a ridiculous sum of money. If I were fortunate enough to win, it would never leave my possession, I would be so honored to have one, and then we have some loser pulling this. It will make me extremely angry if people were allowed to cheat in the contest, and make a zillion accounts, and got entered for each account. I can totally now see individuals just farming for our prizes, making accounts all day and logging in so they can ebay theirs. Meanwhile dedicated excited fans who would be thrilled to own a signed copy let alone all the fortune hunter bonus material, well we just get the shaft… Please tell me someone is watching out for this.

Hey Asad i’m indo-nepalese and i entered the contest, i’m really liking how you guys depict there culture in a respectfull and not stereotypical distorted version. Kudos on your graphics, they look superb. One thing i did’nt understand is why do you have hindi script in your game? Last time i checked it was nepali, or pali. Also i loved it when an interviewer asked you: ” do you think we could ever plat this on the x360″ and you guys are just like no ” its 25gigs only on blue ray” lastly chelsea is my tied favorite team, i mean comon what about barcalona fc? Anyways super congradulations, on this game, i told all my friends about how this was such a raw sauce game (it has frikin coop! thank you so much) :)
Got the game in the mail today. I’m only up to chapter 6 but so far it is awesome. Great graphics and love all the new stuff not in Uncharted Drakes Fortune.

I’m loving every bit of the game, myself. The MP is crazy fun.
I should pick up the Greatest Hits Edition of the first Uncharted, since I haven’t gotten the chance to play when it first came out.
I just got Uncharted 2 today after jury duty. I can’t wait to play SP mode and I’m looking forward to hitting up MP!
Got the game at midnight and played straight through it with 5 hours of sleep in between. As good of a game as I have ever played! I can’t wait to play through it again! Now I need to work extra hard to try to get one of the Fortune Hunter Editions.
