PlayStation Around the Web: What We Read

93 12

Sure, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. But if you’re not a football fan, a reader outside of the US, or just a bitter, still-not-over-it Eagles fan like myself who can’t bear to watch the game this year – here’s something to look forward to for tomorrow: Killzone 2 reviews.

IGN’s North American-exclusive review checked in late last week with an “Outstanding” 9.4 (link below), and you’ll see a lot more hit tomorrow. It doesn’t make the wait for the game go by any faster, but it does help reassure you that the wait til February 27th will be well worth it.

Here is the rest of what we read this week, and you may notice there are no links to PS3 or PSP Fanboy. Those sites have coalesced into Joystiq [PlayStation], which looks great and links to us a lot ;-)

Lawl ,i DO like Playstation best, but i hate fanboys of all types.

  • Hey Jeff,
Could you ask to restrict Total Video Games from reviewing PS3 exclusives? I mean, seriously, they gave Killzone 2 an 8 and didnt list why. Only that us Ps3 owners were “suffering” from lack of exclusives.

  • Fat Princess has been an anticipating game for me for a long time! Well for the PSN that is. I hope it comes out soon!

  • Im really excited about all the positive reviews that KZ2 is getting, thats great news. But LBP got the same reviews and somehow PS3 Marketing screwed the pooch, ask the average village idiot what LBP is and they have no clue. Sony needs to do a better job of marketing the games that will sell systems, and between KZ2, LBP, and MGS4, the marketing dept left money on the table. Jeff, who do we call or contact to help turn this around? Jack Tretton? Kaz Hirai?

  • What about the PlayStation 2 support we need for the PS3? What kind of reason is “Due to the extensive line-up of PS3 titles” to not have PS2 support on the PS3?
