So disappointing! Lost FFXIII means that PS3 is dying. I buy PS3 because I want to play Metal Gear, FF and Kingdom Hearts. Recently, Xbox owns many RPG, but PS3….
Although I will support PS3 and buy PS3 Version, I think that PS3 is loser at that moment. Even I see many improvement of PS3 after the launch.

I didn’t see the E3 conference, but heard of it afterwards on G4TV’s talk-thingy. A part of me died inside when I heard FFXIII was not exclusive. And I can’t imagine how much this hurts Sony to know that a guaranteed console-seller like that is being shared. Also, Square Enix made Kingdom Hearts. You hear that!?!? We could lose Kingdom Hearts exclusivity! I think that would be too much for me to handle.
I can’t bear to see PS3 lose so much, just when I’ve gotten into full swing with HD and everything.
Just so devastating that not even MGS4, while a glorious achievement it is, cannot erase the pain of this loss. Damn you Microsoft!!!!!!!!!!

And you have no idea how angry I am at the moment. When the news came out I was playing FFVIII and was looking forward how FFXIII would take advantage of the power of the ps3. SE and Sony can go to hell! I could have bought an xbox 360 to play all the RPGs they had, but no! I’m stuck with a ps3 that only has enchanted arms as a true rpg :(

Oh f**k you Sony, like that gonna heal the wounds that you caused for all ps3fanboys out there. I’m pretty sure the E3 press conference is not gonna bring any surprises. I believe this is a knock out punch that Sony wont be able to recover. Please Sony, prove me wrong. Bad news coming one after another is just too much, losing this exclusivity is just the mother of all bad news and failure. Good luck Sony, you will need all the luck you can get. God help the PS3.

You’re being irrational towards me unless you read every single post on the blog which I’ve posted ever since I’ve heard about FFXIII. First of all, saying: great another shooter, like RPG fans are waiting for “that” I meant as cynichal, that the PS3 is getting nothing but FPS games instead of the RPG games which fans like you and “me” are dying for. I’ve only slept about 4 hours because of this mess so react like I don’t care, because I care more about this situation than you can possible imagine.
And now I’ve put all the puzzle pieces together, it isn’t entirely Sony to blame for but Square Enix and M$. If its true that Sony honestly didn’t know anything about this, the y both f***ed Sony pretty hard, which makes my disrespect towards M$ even grow bigger and my grudge towards SE explode, to boycot-SE-forever scenario and I mean it.

Well,I have supported playstation brand for over 10 years,and never feel so depressing as of today.
From PS3 launches,disappointments comes one after another.PS3 is LOSING more and more
exclusive titles,DMC4,MH3,TOV,SO4…let alone Assassins Creed and GTA4.And now SONY cant even keep FF13 exclusive?
I know there is plenty of awesome first party games coming,but so does MS.What makes you different from your competitors is EXCLUSIVE THIRD PARTY GAMES,especially when you are the last one in this race.
I know exclusive title needs money,and sony are losing billions of dollars because of PS3 hardware.But why don’t you stop wasting money on project like HOME or some expensive shooters?Save money,buy us exclusive JRPGs,not any more stupid shooters.

FFXIII a loss to MS, yah sort of…but we still will have it.
And from what I’ve read the PC is first…PS3 next and then they start dev work on the 360.
So we have a bit of advantage, not much, but some.
I think we may see this more as the devs want money from any console they can grab it from.

I don’t know why most of the rpgs are either xbox360 exclusive or releasing on xbox360 first. What happen Sony? All the rpgs the playstation is well known for, where are they?
And now even Xbox360 can get to play Final Fantasy. I was SO DISPPOINTED when i heard this news.
I don’t know what exclusives we are going to lose next. C’mon Sony, give us PS3 owners something to be proud of. Something we can proudly tell everyone why we support the PS3.
LOL good thing I never touched a FF game before other wise I’d be pissed! FPS are my favorite type of game but even I’m getting sick of seeing new ones showing up on this console. We all know they won’t be better then COD4 anyway, so move your market to what your customers are asking for, and you wont have hundreds of negative feedback hhm?

We know, and I’m sure all the SONY top management know that Final Fantasy brand is one of the driver of console sales.
I still can’t believe that it’s gone now. Hey Mr. Stinger, brings back Ken Kutaragi. He knows how to maintain “best” relationship with Japanese developers. We need Japanese devs to lead console sales, if not I foresee Playstation 3 will be the last console.

Unlike those Japanese devs I have principles and honor and despite the fact I love RPG’s, I’m not going to buy a 360, I would sell my PS3 and stop HD gaming rather than I would buy a 360.

Did anybody see the M$ conference? A friend of mine at PSN is just quoting these nasty things M$ has said. About the fact that the PS franchises found their home on the 360 and stuff,… I honestly would have had a stroke if I would have seen that.

I am sure a lot of people already heard but Square jumped the boat and took FF13 exclusivity, it will now be on the other thing as well. I hope Sony has an off the wall show at E3 because this news so horrible. First of I hope they have a price reduction on PS3, more amazing exclusives, off the wall anouncemet that will blow us away, and some kind of team up with google and apple just to bite microsoft in the you know what.

As much as I hate sounding like a raging fanboy I just cant keep my mouth shut on this one. Yes, I own a 360 and a PS3. I love them both and love the games and expirences each has to offer. However, I am a Sony lover at heart, I’ve been with PS since there first console as many here have I would wager. I just feel sadness and shock when I think of the fate of FF13. I admire Sony’s stance on not paying game companies gobs of money to lock down exclusives, but lets be real, they need to start! MS has no problem shelling out the big cash to get once loyal Sony game developers on their side. Sony should of locked FF up long ago, any and all backlash that they [Sony] recives from this announcement is their fault. I hate to sound so doom and gloom, but maybe MS has won this generation, please Sony prove me wrong.

Sebastian… I have the same thoughts right now. I bought a PSone a couple months after it was out. Sony needs to start pulling some microsoft moves and have a huge announcement today during their conference if not well I hope they learned from their mistakes on the PS4, if it will ever come out.
