  • Sweet, now I can’t wait to crush his dreams in Warhawk ; ) jk

  • ps3mods.blogspot.com

    Awesome kid!!!

  • @moshakirby and xplosneer ESPECIALLY XPLOSNEER – its obviously not a 20 gig system because when you click the picture you can see the original size of the photo and you can clearly tell the chrome on the PS3. that means its a 60 gig. and no dust can make a 20 gig look like a 60 gig, it will only make your 20 gig look like you don’t use it for anything but a paperweight. amen. and anyways if it was just the 20 gig then no shame on Sony for atleast succumbing to what the boy wanted. Peace ;)

  • too bad out of all those games only MLB 07 The Show is the best one of the bunch Too bad it’s giving me “not enough memory” errors since firmwire 1.92 when i have 3GB’s free (hehe dam multimedia fills up 45GB’s fast) oh well

  • It’s spelled, “Heroes”, guys…

  • I think thats pretty cool for sony to do. Nice Job!

  • Nice gesture of kindness:)

  • =O

    Some good Sony PR. WOW.

  • HEY Elsa43

Can you add me as a friend, us older gamers have to stick togerther.

    PSN ID: GAME-HERO

  • you guys gave him *SONIC THE HEDGEHOG??

    do you *HATE children??

they couldn’t give him Resistance, because it’s an M-Rated title. maybe he can convince his dad to trade in Sonic for it.

i mean, Virtua Fighter 5 and Warhawk would have been sweet for the kid, but Sonic? good god, man, no!

  • So that’s how sony are selling consoles, by giving them away to people that save their dads lives, so sweet.

  • warhawks is the best game ever !!!!!!!!!

  • Way to get some super cheap (in every sense) media coverage. Why not do charitable things like this, without publicising them?

Also, Sonic? I thought Sony were trying to reward the kid, not punish him.

  • Great story.

    Kid looks happy!

  • That was a very nice gesture from Sony. Tums up for that!

  • Congrats and enjoy

  • Great Story. Great Kid, Great system. Nice chice by the kid and being smart ‘Grats.

  • Bravo kid

  • Again, while I’m sure this is very good, and free, publicity, I don’t know why you’re putting it on the Blog, where 99.9% of us already have a PS3, and are already supportive of the product.

Just for the record, it’s “heroes”. Also, case it comes up in the future, it’s “potato”.

Can you please stop blogging about non-relevant issues and send some of your people over to Incognito? From what I’ve heard, they are short of staff, and I know for a fact that they need help getting Warhawk up and running properly, two weeks after it launched.

I noticed you didn’t give this young fellow a copy of Warhawk; good thing too, cause he’s got the attention of the media, and any complaints he would surely make about the game would look doubly bad on the console.

And I certainly hope that the picture was taken at a bad angle, and you didn’t give this youngster a 20gb PS3 – hope you gave him the 80gb one.

Do you people read what we, your customers, post, or am I whistling in the wind?

  • @73

You aren’t whistling in the wind but you are certainly whining and its not attractive. If you want people to take you seriously I would suggest change.

  • Are you out there Sony? Stop telling us how great you are, and support your products.

  • Very nice on Sony’s part. I’m glad to see that they’re willing to do these kinds of things, not only is it great PR, but the kid deserves it.

  • It;s nice sony did this for the boy.

  • I want a PS3….

  • Heh the boy sure looks happy, its not like something like this happens everyday.
Probably also hiding his “Lets not waste any more time for these Photos and Start playing already!” feeling in that pic tho!

This is good publicity for Sony!

  • What a great story~! It is heartwarming to know that Sony, a huge coporation, has a heart of gold. This is the second “Hero” I have seen Sony treat with love and kindness, makes me think they should keep this up, and make the “Hero” designation official. It could go a long way PR wise, and it would help show the world that Sony is a compassionate, caring corporation. I have personally experienced that Sony kindness first hand, being called a “Local Hero”, and now, so has this super 9 year old kid. Way to go Sony and the new Hero~! Job well done~!

  • @ gamesblow

Why must you bash every single post that Sony puts out. This site is for fans. Go play a 360. This story is a good one that you tried to turn around. Every post that I have read has you doing the same thing. Geez
